YLC Supports SSI for Children with Disabilities

The Youth Law Center joined advocates across the country to respond to a New York Times Op-Ed by Nicholas Kristof that mischaracterized the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program for children.   The SSI Coalition for Children and Families said that Kristof’s piece, “Profiting from a Child’s Illiteracy,” painted a dangerous false choice between investing in early education and supporting families with children with disabilities.
