YLC Supporting AB 154, AB 47 and SB114
Additional child welfare bills that the Youth Law Center is supporting are AB 154 that will inform adoptive parents about the availability of the federal and state adoption tax credits; Assembly Bill 47 that will adjust a tax credit that is currently available to offset the cost of adoption of older foster youth or youth who were in a group home; and SB 114, that will simplified the process for former foster youth to maintain their Medi-Cal eligibility.
