Sue Burrell Consults on Juvenile Competency Legislative Guide
Sue Burrell, YLC Staff Attorney, was invited to serve as a consultant on a soon to be released legislative guide on juvenile competence to stand trial. Along with a small group of judges, prosecutors and juvenile defenders, Sue provided feedback to Dr. Thomas Grisson and Dr. Kimberly Larson of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, both are nationally recognized experts in the field of adolescent adjudicative competence. The work is being funded as part of the MacArthur Foundation Models for Change Initiative.
