Ameil Kenkare
Staff Advocate
Ameil Kenkare is a Staff Advocate at the Youth Law Center. His work centers on ensuring that systems-involved young people have access to the supports they need for a thriving future. Prior to attending law school, Ameil taught high school level U.S. history in Chicago for four years. Upon graduation, he completed an Equal Justice Works fellowship and additional year as a Staff Attorney at Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, representing local students in exclusionary discipline proceedings and related litigation.
