QPI Advisory Committee Webcast
Immediately following CDSS Director Will Lightbourne’s webcast on August 28th, the Youth Law Center held an advisory committee meeting for our Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI) project. During this webinar, several QPI counties presented about their project efforts. San Luis Obispo discussed their foster parent mentor program, Tuolomne presented on developing standards for excellence in foster parenting and building relationships between foster parents and social workers, and Sonoma presented on effots towards coordination and consistency with FFAs, support and training for foster parents of teens and improving training for foster parents. The Youth Law Center also announced plans to begin working with three additional California QPI sites: San Diego, Stanislaus and Kings counties.
