YLC welcomes new team member!

Youth Law Center is thrilled to welcome the newest addition to our team: Cecilia Rivas!

Cecilia Rivas, LCSW joined YLC’s Quality Parenting Initiative (QPI Families) in April 2020 as the National QPI Implementation Manager. Before joining YLC she served as Director of Intervention & Resource Development at the Philadelphia Department of Human Services (DHS). At DHS, she rebuilt and led the Philadelphia Quality Parenting Initiative; bolstered resource parent recruitment and retention; and improved wellbeing services for children, particularly access to mental health care and the reduction of antipsychotic medication. Cecilia also has frontline child welfare experience as a case management supervisor. Prior to her work in Philadelphia, she provided trauma therapy to children in the foster care and juvenile justice systems in Chicago, IL. Cecilia is a Florida native now based in Philadelphia.
