Please join presenter Lo Negron, of Legal Advocates for Children & Youth (LACY), for a presentation on assisting current and former foster youth in identifying and addressing identity theft on credit reports. The presentation will review the legal framework for foster youth to receive assistance with obtaining and reviewing credit reports, discuss how to review credit reports for accuracy and indications of identity theft, and detail the steps youth and their representatives can take to dispute fraudulent accounts and errors with credit reporting agencies.
1.5 hours of general MCLE credit will be available for California attorneys.
